And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:3

The transformation Herald crew and the Pastorate would like to start the year, first and foremost, by expressing their heartfelt congratulation to every one of us for the grace and privilege of witnessing the new year 2020 and to say; Happy new year to you all in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. With our heart full of gratitude, we confess that the past year was fully loaded with blessing and breakthrough of remarkable and amazing proportion. We witnessed God’s faithfulness in all our activities with abundant testimonies. To God alone be the glory and adoration forever and ever in Jesus name!

As we continue our Christian journey  this year, through the crooked and dark world, God has come up with his loving promises and mandate as he normally does every year, via His anointed mouth piece, The General Overseer of the Ministry, by declaring that the year 2020 is a year of our RISING SUN. For us at the Transformation Parish, the theme of this month is: shinning forth instantly synced with divine revelation.

When we look at the creation of the world in the book of Genesis chapter 1, we will discover the importance of light in relation to all other element that God created….And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep….and God said, Let there be light and there was light, And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from darkness[v2-4]. God also created two great light, the sun and the moon to rule the day and night respectively. V. 16. The interference to draw from this is that there was nothing created that would have come to life without the light. On the other side of it is the fact that if the sun [ and moon /sun] have not been created, the whole world would have been in total darkness. Literally speaking, light become the game changer in the creation process.

A Shinning object is the one that reflect or emits bright light, from our elementary knowledge pf physics.it is absolutely impossible for any object, like a mirror or glass to reflect in the  absence of light. When there is light, shinning is made possible and when there is no light, shinning becomes impossible, Jesus Christ is that light of the world as written in 1 John 8:12 Then spake  Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not work in darkness, but shall have the light of life. As children of God, our redemption has made us to become the light of the light that is to go forth and perform all functions of our father and shine like star in a dark, crooked and perverse world. It is one of the wisest and  rewarding thing to do according to our above text in Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as their brightness of the firmament…..

Brethren our immediate assignment is this regard, both individually and collectively, is to ensure that our activities bring positive changes to the world around us….bringing the gospel message to the lost and turning them away from their sinful ways, delivering many who have been kept in darkness, healing those who are sick  by the power bestowed on us by Jesus Christ……Mark 16: 15-18. Furthermore, Jesus Himself has declared that we are the light of the world which should not be hidden. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set oon an hill cannot be hid……Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matt 5:14-16 The implication of this is that we must arise and go full throttle to advance the Kingdom of God more than ever before. This is our primary responsibility among others.

In our quest to shine forth, God has graciously hinted that there will be obstacles to surmount. Hear what he says in Isaiah 60 1-2 Arise, shine for thy light has come and the glory of God is risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people but the LORD shall rise upon thee, and his glory shall be risen upon thee. The darkness referred here is not the physical or natural darkness but a type of spiritual darkness, principalities and powers that will be resistant to your renewed effort to shine forth. In the midst of all this, God is saying: ARISE AND SHINE. Jesus Christ, the Light has segregated you from the rest of this decadent and corrupt world to be an outstanding instrument and carrier of His glory. If God has decreed it, no power can stop it. Jesus Christ is that light that can dispel any form of Darkness John 1: 5,9. Therefore don’t look back but go ahead and shine forth because you are the light of the world. Your victory is assured.

  1. Run Away from SIN. The preceding events recorded about the Jewish captivity in Babylon before proclamation of Light upon them in Isaiah 60 lends credence to the fact that people were very deep into sin, as was recorded in Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between  you and your God, and your sins have hid face from you that he will not hear. We must run away from sin. This is irreducible minimum that God requires us.
  2. Don’t Defy yourself with the ‘KING’s MEAT’. Daniel in the service of King Nebuchadnezzar, purposed in his heart that he would not satisfy his lustful desire at the detriment of his destiny. Daniel 1:8 Daniel subsequently became a bright star preaching about God in a strange land.
  3. Make yourself available for Kingdom Use. You cannot hide yourself like a candle light under the bushel and expect to shine. Matt 5;15 Participate in church activities and those of your community so that your impact can as an individual or group, can be felt by people around you.
  4. Be Diligent and Committed. God has given us individual gifts to shine forth and use His glory. Use them diligently and with a committed heart. The vision/dream gifts of Joseph and Daniel paved the way for them to shrine forth and they became exceedingly impactful to the government and people around them.
  5. Know and use the Word of God. The word of God is a potent weapon for you to shine forth at all times. Don’t be deficient of it, Joshua 1:8,
Finally, Brethren what activities do have it mind to embark upon this year to be among the shinning stars of God’s Kingdom? Talk to God ask him to reveal them to you. Surely he will answer and empower you to achieve them. He is calling you to be wise and shine as the brightness of the firmament. Indeed the world is waiting for your manifestation, eager to see and feel your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. The time to shine forth is now!
